Nikki Jury

Founder & Instructor

Hi, I’m Nikki Jury, Founder and Instructor at Mindful Movement Pilates Studio and Pilates With Nikki. I first started Pilates classes at my Ballet Studio when I was a teenager, to strengthen my core and to help prevent injuries whilst dancing. I fell in love with the Pilates technique, the flowing movements and I loved the changes I was seeing in my body (hello long, lean muscles). I knew at that point that I wanted to teach the Pilates Method in a way that was creative, fun, a perfect mix of mobility & strength and with flowing transitions between each exercise. I completed my Diploma of Pilates Instruction in 2013 through Pilates International Training Centre and started creating the Studio of my dreams in 2014.

Both of our Studio’s are all about moving your body from a place of love, to enjoy the mobility, flexibility, the strength and the burn. We have a focus on being Mindful during class, to show up and be fully present, to give your (incredible) body the attention it deserves. All whilst having a laugh… life is too serious otherwise!

Qualifications:

Eliza Gray

Instructor

Expect to sweat in Eliza’s classes, you will use your body in new ways and in turn feel the length of your entire body when you walk out of class. Eliza is dedicated in sharing her knowledge on health, movement and self-care throughout every class. Eliza is a motivated and inspirational role model for all ages, drawing upon her dancing background to bring an ease and confidence to her teaching practice.

Her passion for movement started at a young age when she fell in love with the physicality, fluidity and strength of dance. With over 15 years of dance experience Eliza moved organically into the health and fitness industry and began to thrive in the wellbeing world. Eliza’s dancing led her to Pilates which kept her strong and supple throughout her degree, training and her life.

In 2016 she graduated from the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Arts – Dance. She has since trained to become a Reformer and Mat Pilates instructor with Tensegrity Training. She is also a qualified Barre Instructor and Yoga Instructor.

Ella Driene

Instructor

Ella first began her pilates training with Nikki as a young dancer recovering from an injury. It was always a part of her training and life alongside dance to keep her strong and mobile throughout her studies.

Ella has studied at some of the most prestigious dance training facilities in Australia and New Zealand. In 2015, Ella graduated from Ev and Bow Full-time Dance Training with a Diploma in Dance and New Zealand School of Dance in 2017 with a Certificate in Dance Performance. She always believed her true passion was performing until she fell in love with the pilates movement and methodology, and has since rediscovered her spark! This feeling motivated her to continue her training through Tensegrity Training with a Diploma in Pilates.

Ella has a deep passion for inclusiveness and creating a fun space for her clients to feel strong and find freedom with in their own bodies, but let’s not forget about the full body burn and sweaty mess you will be at the end of her classes (sorry not sorry).
